About the manufacturer

Demeter Ltd. is a family-owned company with headquarters in Sirač – Croatia (EU), in the region of Slavonia, historically known for the quality of their woods. We started our business on the foundation of 20 years of knowledge and experience in working with wood in Croatia, Austria and Germany, acquiring high-quality and professional expertise during that period. Several years of work in companies that were involved precisely in the production of walking canes and walking stick, resulted in fine-tuning of the professional training for making wood canes, and in 1992, Antun Demeter founded his own company and purchased the latest and most modern machines for the production of Derby walking canes with the world most popular handle design. A year later, he began to export goods to Italy, from where his products were further shipped to the USA and Japanese markets.

In 1995, he started new production lines, Melbourne and Fritz canes for orthopaedic and everyday use. He covered a smaller part of the Croatian market, and aims to maximally improve the service to customers in Croatia.

In the meantime, Antun’s son Marino Demeter, a passionate cane designer, launched new, elegant, modern and luxurious walking canes and collectors’ canes in order to keep in time with the latest fashion trends and he also perfected the packaging and invested in a new international brand “Wastickson” to better highlight the highest quality and precision of craftsmanship of his products. By continuously increasing the range of colours and patterns with more than 1,500 styles, he provided walking canes for any clothing style, thus conquering big new markets in several countries.

We have been in the export business for more than 20 years and we are the only such company in Croatia. In the European market, we currently offer the largest selection of Derby and Melbourne walking canes made of wood designed to last for generations, with the most advanced production, superior product quality and excellent prices.
